"New" 04/13/26  Turning Towards The ☀️Son: Reminder from The Sunflowers 🌻 on Faith

Sunflowers are remarkable plants that have an innate ability to seek sunlight. Each day, as the sun rises in the east, sunflowers turn their heads to follow its path across the sky. This behavior, known as heliotropism, illustrates a simple truth: the importance of orienting ourselves toward the source of life and energy. Just as sunflowers depend on sunlight for growth and vitality, we—children of God—are called to direct our focus and face toward Jesus Christ, the True Light of the world.

In John 8:12, Jesus declares, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." This verse emphasizes that turning our attention to Him is essential for our spiritual health and purpose. Much like sunflowers thrive under the sun’s warmth, our lives flourish when we seek Christ earnestly, drawing from His light and love.

Each morning, as sunflowers greet the sunrise, we too should begin our day by seeking the face of Jesus in prayer and reflection. This daily practice grounds us in hope and reminds us of our purpose. When we center our thoughts and actions on Christ, we gain clarity and direction, transforming our challenges into opportunities for growth.

Just as the sunflowers 🌻 lean towards the sun, we must steer our hearts and minds towards Jesus. This pursuit goes beyond mere acknowledgment; it requires an active choice to engage with His teachings and embrace His values. Through scripture, worship, and community, we nurture our relationship with Him, allowing His light to fill our lives.

Life can often feel overwhelming, and just as sunflowers are sensitive to their sometimes, harsh environment, we too can experience ups and downs. However, when we consistently seek the Son, we find strength in our faith. We are reminded that in Jesus, we have a source of life, hope, and purpose that transcends earthly troubles.

Let us all be reminded of the 🌻 on today. As they faithfully follow the sun each day, may we strive to seek Jesus with the same consistency. By turning our faces towards Him, He illuminates our lives with His grace, allowing His light and love to guide us through the pressures of life. Let us shine brightly together, reflecting the true light of the world for others to see. We 🙏🏽 that you remain encouraged and keep looking up to Jesus as the True Source of life and fulfillment. Blessings Always, Fred & Kisha☀️🌻👌🏽.

"New" 04/09/26. Hope Prevails:Three Powerful Scriptures🗡️to Refute the enemy's lies

In our daily lives, we often encounter doubts and deceptive thoughts that can lead us astray. These lies can take many forms, from negative self-talk to fears about our worth and purpose. To combat these untruths, it is essential to turn to the Word of God, which serves as a powerful weapon against the enemy's lies.

Understand the Lies 🛑

The first step in fighting back is to recognize the lies for what they are. The enemy seeks to instill fear, shame, and confusion in our minds. By identifying these thoughts—such as "You are not enough" or "You’ll never succeed"—we can confront them head-on. Remember, you are not alone in this fight; God is always with you, and His Word is a safe refuge. Below are three specific scriptures of Truth to replace the enemy's lies.  Always remember, knowing and believing the Truth sets you free. We must be obedient and live out God's Word daily. Submit to God, Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.( that's a bonus one😊James 4:7.) Thanks to God, we are overcomers through Jesus Christ👏🏽💪🏽🙏🏽!Blessings Always, Fred & Kisha.

🚩enemy whispers, you are a failure. Reject him with the Truth that says according to Romans 8:37, I am more than a conqueror. Believe, and stand on the Word of Truth.

enemy whispers, you are a failure.

🚩enemy whispers, you are rejected. Speak out loud, No! According to 1st John 3:1 God loves me so much and adopted me as His child.

🚩enemy whispers, you are rejected.

🚩enemy whispers, you are all alone and will never be healed. Say, I refute this lie. Jesus is with me always and according to Isaiah 53:5 by His stripes, I am healed.

enemy whispers, you are all alone and will never be healed.

04/06/26What It Means to Dwell in the Secret Place of God

To dwell in the secret place of God means to have an intimate relationship with Him, characterized by deep trust, worship, and communion. This concept originates from Psalm 91:1, which states, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." Here, the 'secret place' refers to a spiritual refuge where believers can find solace, guidance, and protection. It signifies a peaceful state of being in God’s presence, where one can escape the noise and chaos of life.

Dwelling in this secret place requires intentionality and commitment. It's about setting aside time for prayer, reflection, and studying scripture—creating a space where you can hear God’s voice clearly. This relationship nurtures spiritual growth and equips you with faith to face life’s challenges. It’s a place of safety where you can find strength and reassurance, knowing that God is always near.

This intimate dwelling is not just a physical or emotional state; it’s a insightful spiritual reality. When we fully embrace the secret place, we invite God into our daily lives, allowing His presence to guide our decisions and actions. In this sanctuary of faith, worries and fears can dissolve, replaced by a deep sense of peace that transcends understanding.

The "secret place" offers divine protection. When we seek refuge with God, we can trust that He will shield us from harm and guide us through trials. This does not mean life will be free from difficulties, but rather that we will have the assurance of His Presence in every circumstance. We become more aware of His love, leading us to walk confidently, knowing that we are never alone.

In essence, dwelling in the secret place of God is about making a conscious choice to center your life around Him. It encourages us to seek His wisdom, to cultivate a heart of worship, and to nourish our spirits through the Holy Spirit. This spiritual practice not only impacts our lives but can also influence those around us as we reflect God’s light to the world. We encourage you on today, to seek  God on purpose. Scripture promise: draw near to God and He will draw near to you(James 4:8). When you draw near to God with a sincere, repentant ♥️, you will experience God's Presence and His Amazing Grace! Dwelling in the secret place of God invites us into a transformative journey of faith, where we can discover true contentment, purpose, and direction under the watchful care of our Creator. Blessings Always, Fred & Kisha.

Understanding the Standard 🛡️Raised in Isaiah

Specifically, this idea is featured in Isaiah 59:19, which states, "When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will raise up a standard against him." This verse written as a promise of divine protection and intervention in times of trouble. The "standard" refers to a banner or a signal that symbolizes God's presence and power during oppressive circumstances. Throughout history, God has shown His ability to intervene in human affairs, especially when His people face adversity.

To raise up a standard signifies God's commitment to protect and deliver those who call upon Him. When challenges arise—whether they show as personal struggles, health issues, or spiritual battles—believers can take comfort in knowing that God will not abandon them. Instead, He actively works to shield and guide us. The imagery of a flood in this verse represents overwhelming enemies or difficulties, suggesting that even in the fiercest storms, God's authority prevails.

As you reflect on this scripture verse, consider how God might be raising a standard in your life today. Where do you feel overwhelmed, and how might you invite God to stand with you? This passage inspires us not just to endure challenges but to rise above them, anchored by the assurance that God is with us every step of the way.

Remember, you are not alone against your struggles with sin. Our Redeemer is Jesus Christ.📖🙌🏽👏🏽🙏🏽🗡️Prayer Requests

Driven by passion

What are some ways you can deepen your passion for God and trust in His ability to be a shield and banner in hard times and struggles?

Focus on God~not the enemy or circumstances

How can you use what the enemy meant for bad to give God the glory in your circumstances? In what ways can you keep focus on God and not on the enemy's schemes he uses to derail and rise up against you? For us, we replace worry with worship and practice forgiveness and release to honor God.

Quality Time in His Presence

We encourage you to take time aside to be in God's Presence on a daily basis. Allow God to be your shield and defense, as He alone can stand 🆙 against your adversary. We've learned from personal experiences in our marriage that when the enemy comes in like a flood, God will surely raise up a standard to protect and shield us.🛡️⚔️💪🏽🙏🏽

How to overcome temptation

Temptation is a universal struggle that can lead us away from our values and beliefs. However, the Bible offers profound guidance on how to resist these urges and stay aligned with God's will. Here are practical steps to overcome temptation biblically:

Understand the Nature of Temptation

The first step in overcoming temptation is recognizing that it is a part of the human experience. In James 1:14-15, it is written, "But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived give birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death." This verse reminds us that temptation begins internally, highlighting the importance of self-awareness in this battle.

Pray for Strength

Turning to prayer is crucial when facing temptation. Jesus emphasized this in Matthew 26:41, urging us to "Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation." Prayer not only connects us with God but also strengthens our spirit to resist what seeks to pull us away from His path.

Use Scripture as a Defense

God’s Word is our ultimate weapon against temptation. In Ephesians 6:17, the Bible refers to scripture as the "sword of the Spirit." Familiarize yourself with relevant verses that speak to your particular struggles. For instance, when faced with lust, turn to 1 Corinthians 10:13, which assures us that God provides a way out of temptation.

Avoid Situations that Lead to Fall

A proactive approach is essential. In Proverbs 4:14-15, we are advised to avoid paths that lead to wickedness: "Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of the evil." Identifying and steering clear of situations that trigger temptation not only protects us but also reinforces our commitment to living a righteous life.

Surround Yourself with Supportive Community

Accountability can significantly diminish the power of temptation. Surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals who share your faith can provide encouragement and strength. As stated in Hebrews 10:24-25, we’re called to "consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some."

Practice Self-Control

Self-control is one of the fruits of the Spirit outlined in Galatians 5:22-23. Developing this fruit requires intentional practice and diligence. Engaging in activities that build discipline—such as fasting, meditation, or physical exercise—can strengthen your ability to resist temptation in all areas of life.

Confess and Repent

If you fall into temptation, it’s vital to confess and seek forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 states, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Understanding that the process of overcoming temptation includes grace can motivate you to rise again and continue your journey of faith.

Key Takeaways

Overcoming temptation is a continuous effort that requires reliance on God, self-awareness, and community support. By holding yourself accountable with these biblical principles in your life, you not only build resilience against temptation but also grow closer to God. Remember, the journey may have its challenges, but with faith and perseverance, you can navigate it successfully and emerge victorious.

III. Practical Everyday Godly Living 2/19/26

Living a godly life is an everyday journey that involves creating routines, renewing our minds, and understanding our identity in Christ. In this post, we’ll explore how to start a quiet time routine, strategies for mind renewal, and the significance of combating modern idolatry. We’ll also discuss how to move from routine with God to a deeper, more personal relationship.

IV. Starting a Quiet Time Routine

Establishing a quiet time routine is essential for spiritual growth. Set aside a specific time each day when you can be alone with God. Whether it’s early in the morning or late at night, find a time that works best for you. Begin your quiet time with prayer, asking God to open your heart and mind to His Word. Read your Bible thoughtfully, and consider using a devotional to guide your reflections. Journaling can also enhance your quiet time, helping you gather your thoughts and prayers.

V. Mind Renewal Strategies

Renewing your mind is a vital step in godly living. Romans 12:2 encourages us to not be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the renewal of our minds. Start by identifying negative thoughts or beliefs that contradict biblical truths. Replace them by meditating on Scripture and focusing on God’s promises. Consider memorizing verses that speak to your identity in Christ. This practice will not only transform your thinking but also empower you in your daily life. My testimony from removing negative thought patterns to memorizing scripture and believing biblical truth was a total life changing experience for me! This helped how I viewed myself, as well as how I related to my husband and children, as the Word flushed out those worldly thought patterns to a " New Creation in Christ" mindset, in which we will discuss next😊. (Keep reading, we hope you are elated towards growing your spiritual relationship with God).

VI. Understanding Your Identity in Christ

Knowing who you are in Christ is a powerful component of your faith. Scripture tells us that we are loved, chosen, and redeemed. Embrace the truth that you are a child of God, created in His image. This understanding shapes how you view yourself and how you interact with others. When challenges arise, remind yourself of your position in Christ, which brings comfort and strength. 2nd corinthians 5:17 states that we are a new creation in Jesus Christ. The old is gone and behold, all things become new. This means you are no longer defined by your past mistakes. Your brand new identity in Christ gives you the right of way ➡️ to live a new life of purpose and to glorify God. Such wonderful News 📰 to be saved by God's Amazing Grace! Just 💭 for a moment. God's Holy Spirit  lives inside of you. You have a fresh, new start through Jesus!✨

VII. Combating Modern Idolatry

In today's world, idolatry can easily creep in, often disguised as priorities or possessions. Evaluate what takes center stage in your life. Is it your job, social media, or even relationships? Recognize these as potential distractions that can lead you away from God. Combat modern idolatry by intentionally prioritizing your relationship with God and seeking first His kingdom (Matthew 6:33). Regularly reassess your commitments and ensure that God remains the focal point of your life.

VIII. From Performance Routine with God to Relationship

While developing routines is important, it’s equally crucial to nurture a personal relationship with God. Transitioning from routine to relationship requires intentionality. Foster a dialogue with God through prayer, expressing not only your needs but also your gratitude and love for Him. Be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit in your life. Engage in community with other believers, as fellowship helps deepen your understanding of God and encourages growth. Remember, performance based do's and dont's and following a list of rules and regulations is legalism. God desires to connect with you through a  personal, intimate relationship by embracing His Presence and understanding His heart ♥️ and love for you. No need to perform to earn His Love. Simply, rest. Rest in His Word, in prayer and close fellowship with your Heavenly Father. That is more than enough for Him. He desires all of you, without reservation. Surrender all to Him.

Key Takeaways

Practicing everyday godly living involves starting a quiet time routine, renewing your mind, understanding your identity in Christ, combating modern idolatry, and focusing on building a relationship with God rather than just a routine. By incorporating these elements into your daily life, you’ll experience a more fulfilling and transformed relationship with God, one that resonates deeply and guides your actions every day. Remember, you got this💪🏽, and we are praying for you. Blessings.
